CHRISTMAS - It is a Christian holiday, when generally it is snowing up in the North and people exchange gifts and have dinner together as a family. CARNIVAL - Oh! Brazilian people love this festival so much! It happenes in February or March and it takes all people to the street dressed in costumes and so many colors all over. HOLI - It happens in the beginning of spring, in India and it is also named: Festival of Colors KWANZAA - Is a holiday invented in 1996 to connect African Americans to their heritage and culture. EASTER - For Christians, it means the ressurrection of Jesus Christ. It is always on a Sunday. SABARÁ BIRTHDAY - It is celebrated on July 17th and generally they invite singers to perform at the square and the public goes watch and have fun. TIRADENTES - It is the favorite holiday of one of our friends for absolutely NO REASON. It is on April 21st. MOTHER DAY - It is celebrated on the second Sunday of May and it is an emotional date for families in general. FATHER DAY - It is celebrated on the second Sunday of August in Brazil. People see their dads all over. |
